Eustace High School hosted it’s 2nd Annual Soccer Tournament this weekend with the Lady Bulldogs taking away top honors. It was a long, tiresome, hard fought, process, but Coach Taylor and his team prevailed after two overtimes and a shoot out in the championship game late Saturday night against Mabank. The Lady Bulldogs won the shoot out 2 to 1 with Amanda Herrera scoring the first goal and Kayla Ward scoring the winning goal. Kayla was also the Keeper, blocking 4 of Mabank’s 5 shots to secure the victory. Our own Hallie Mathis was chosen as the tournament’s Most Valuable Player. Other members of the team were: Chelsea Truitt, Jaqlynn Bless, Amalie Arambula, Arin Rhodes, LaShawnda Martin, Chelsea Grimes, Veronica Maltos, Tiffany Grimes, Brooklyn Duncan, Alex Parrott, Imelda Maltos, and Shelby Stegent.
Congratulations Coach Cody Taylor and Lady Bulldogs!
