4 out of 4 Make Post Season

by Stan Sowers.

Eustace High School is off to a great start in athletics with 4 of the 4 teams competing this Fall making the post season.  The Lady Bulldogs will begin their playoff run in vollyball this Thursday in Mount Pleasant against the Leopards of Liberty-Eylau at 7:00 pm.  Both boy’s and girl’s cross country teams qualified for Regionals this Saturday in Arlington.  They did this by placing 2nd and 3rd respectfully, in the district meet this past Wednesday.  The Bulldog football team secured a playoff spot after winning 3 games in district with 1 game remaining.  It is looking like they will be playing Farmersville possibly on a Thursday night in either Mesquite or Royce City.  Details will come later.  Way to go Bulldogs.  Basketball is underway.

Bulldog Proud

This Week

by Coy Holcombe.

Although our Bulldogs lost a muddy, hard fought game against Wills Point on Friday, we now know for sure that we are in the playoffs for the second consecutive year. With Canton’s loss to Van, the only thing left to decide is which team will be the number 2 seed and which team will be the number 3 seed. That will be decided this Friday when the Bulldogs host Van in the last district contest.

The volleyball area championship will be played Thursday in Mt. Pleasant. Our Lady Bulldogs will be competing against Liberty-Eylau. The game is scheduled to start at 7:00 PM.
