Below is an email that I received recently about a camp specifically for girls in grades 8-12 that may be interested in learning more about engineering careers. There is no cost for the camp. All the camps are multiple day camps so you would have to drive to the SMU campus several times during the week. However, even with the driving, I would encourage anyone interested to follow the links at the bottom of the email for more information.

Lyle School of EngineeringCamp for Girls at SMUDear Educator: Do you know a young female student who might be interested in the summer camps being hosted by the Bobby B. Lyle School of Engineering at SMU? Registration is now open and girls entering grades 8-12 will be gathering on the campus of Southern Methodist University during the month of June to attend the Lyle School of Engineering Summer Camp for Girls and learn about the world of engineering and their future college life. This week-long, half-day program is designed to help girls explore engineering through hands-on, interactive projects which show how engineering is related to social concerns, community interest and individual development.
