CNA -We're in Good Hands

by Stan Sowers.

Students Michael Collins and Ashley Cravey are getting in their clinical hours in order to become Certified Nurse’s Assistants.  The CNA program offered at EHS has proven to be a great success.  Instructors Evelyn McKinney and Linda Brown have done a tremendous job of preparing our students in the classroom and in the field.  All 18 of the participating students passed their exams and field tests to become fully certified.

Teaching Parents Technology

by Coy Holcombe.

I came across this site recently: . The site was developed by people at Google and is aimed at parents that may not be up to speed on technology related issues.

On the main page, the sender can choose videos over different technology topics to send the recipient. After filling out the main page information, the sender is taken to a screen to confirm their choices and to enter the email addresses. This page is designed for children to send topics to their parents.

However, anyone can view the videos. At the main page, just click on the "View All Videos" link located on the right side of the page. You will be taken to a page where you can browse through all the videos. The videos are short and to the point.

AEIS Reports

by Coy Holcombe.

The 09-10 AEIS reports are now posted on the district's website. In the section titled "District Information", the 09-10 AEIS reports may be found at the top on the right side. In addition, the following link will take you to the TEA website that contains the AEIS reports for all districts and campuses in the state: .  In the first paragraph of the TEA website that are links that you can follow to find the AEIS reports for districts, campuses, regions and the entire state.

The AEIS reports detail a vast amount of information about school districts and campuses. Not only are accountability data included in the reports (such as TAKS scores, drop out data, and attendance data), but the reports also include financial data, demographic data, and various other forms of data about the operations of the district and campuses.

I encourage you to look at EISD's AEIS reports. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me at
