We are in the process of putting a list together of end of year activities. When finished, the list will be posted here.

Look for the May edition of the Update soon. It should be finished at the end of this week or by the first of next week.

Band Seniors on Caribbean Cruise

Eustace High School senior band members are enjoying a five day cruise to Cozumel and the Yucatan peninsula. All have reported extreme satisfaction with the food and are looking forward to elegant attire and lobster tonight. Internet onboard ship is hit or miss so pics may or may or not appear with this post. If not.. Keep checking back!

TAKS, Baseball, Softball, & Track

The following TAKS tests will be administered today:

  • 3rd, 4th, 6th, 7th, & 10th grade math
  • Exit Level Retest – ELA

Congratulations go out to the varsity baseball team on making the playoffs. The Bulldogs will be hosting a warm-up game doubleheader on Saturday. Game times are 4:00 and 7:00.

Also, congratulations go out to the softball team on strong showing this year. The Lady Bulldogs were in playoff contention through the last district game. Although they came up a little short in that game, it should not overshadow a much improved season.

Finally, a reminder that the regional track meet will be held May 2 & 3 in Stephenville. Eustace is represented by numerous athletes on both the boys and girls side.

Track Meet and Baseball Today

I want to thank everyone involved for making last night’s regional qualifiers meet a huge success! With 30 teams from all over East Texas and North Texas, spectators got to see some of the top track talent in the state. Special thanks go to our maintenance staff for getting the facilities ready, to the Booster Club for running the concession stand, and to our coaches for organizing and running the meet. Although I do not have the official results yet, the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs placed in the top six in many events.

The JV and varsity baseball teams will be hosting Scurry-Rosser today. The JV game is set to start at 4:30.

I hope everyone has a great weekend!
