Track season is underway. Congratulations to the Eustace High School track teams and coaches. Our next meet will be Thursday, March 8th, in Malakoff.
First, I want to congratulate all of the track teams for great performances last night in the Bulldog Relays. This was the first full meet of the season for the teams and everyone did a great job. The Bulldogs took first place in the JV boys, varsity boys, and varsity girls divisions. The JV girls placed second. Anyone that was at the track meet saw a full evening of great athletic performances. I want to extend a special thank you to all the workers that helped the track meet run so smoothly. For a 12 team, 4 division, track meet to be completed at around 9:00 takes a great deal of preparation and organization.
Second, I want to congratulate the band on their hard work and dedication in preparing for the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest that was held in Canton yesterday. The band earned a two in concert and a two in sight reading. A video of the entire concert performance will be posted to the EISD YouTube page http://www.youtube.com/user/EustaceISD.
Third, the JV and varsity baseball teams competed in tournaments yesterday. I do not have results at this time, but both teams should be in action again today.
Finally, the girls softball team will be playing Cross Roads tonight at 6:00 PM in Eustace.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
