Board Meeting Last Night and Regional Qualifiers Meet

Last night, the EISD Board of Trustees held their regular monthly meeting. The meeting started at 7:00 PM and was held in the HS library. Actions taken by the board included:

  • Approval of the minutes from previous meetings.
  • Approval of the financial reports as presented.
  • Certified Superintendent as Representative to the Regional Advisory Committee.
  • Approval of Energy Efficiency Grant.
  • Accepted the resignation of Geraldine Carson.
  • Employed Carlos Rivera, Jason Baldwin, and Trevor Thorne as teachers/coaches for the 2012-2013 school year.
  • Accepted the substitute list as presented.
  • Accepted recommendations for employment of auxiliary directors and auxiliary staff as presented.
  • Accepted the student transfer list as presented.
  • Adjourned.

Regional Qualifiers Meet

Our regional qualifiers meet is shaping up to be the best ever! Some of the best track talent in state will be at the meet on Thursday. Right now, the following schools will all have teams at the meet:

Mt. Vernon
New Diana

South Oak Cliff
Sulpher Springs
Texas High

Senior Night and Board Meeting Tonight

Both the softball and baseball teams will hold their Senior Night activities tonight. Seniors on both teams will be recognized before the start of the varsity games.

The Eustace ISD Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting tonight. The meeting will start at 7:00 PM will take place in the HS library. Everyone is invited to attend.

Henderson County Livestock Show


Last week, the Eustace FFA Chapter competed in the Henderson County Livestock Show. The show is the culmination of the livestock show season. To say that our FFA members had success would be an understatement! Below is information furnished by Zach Tappan on the awards won by the Eustace FFA team. I would like to congratulate each and every student on their hard work and success this year! I would also like to congratulate our ag teachers, Zach Tappan and Theresa Tindel, for their hard work and dedication to making the Eustace FFA program the best around. Finally, a special thank you to the parent, grandparents, and all the other relatives and friends for their support of the Eustace FFA program.

This Week

This week marks the end of the regular season in softball and baseball. The softball team plays their final regular season game on Tuesday and baseball has their final regular season game on Friday.

The EISD Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting on Tuesday. The meeting will take place in the HS library and will start at 7:00 PM.

The Primary will have their Spring Book Fair this week. The book fair will be held in Primary Library and be open from 7:45 AM – 3:30 PM daily. The book fair will stay open until 5:00 PM on Tuesday.

Tuesday – April 17 – School Board Meeting – 7:00 PM – HS Library; Baseball v. Red Oak Life – 6:00; Softball v. Blooming Grove – 6:00

Thursday – April 19 – Regional Qualifiers Track Meet – Eustace

Friday – April 20 – JV and Varsity Baseball at Scurry – 4:30
