Eustace ISD Receives Grant from Rotary Club

EISD was informed this week by Mike Moore, President of the Cedar Creek Rotary Club, that we will receive a $1,600 grant from the Rotary Club. EISD submitted a proposal to the Rotary Club that furnished the district with 10 iPad 2s, 1 Mini-Mac computer system, and provided some volume purchasing from Apple for applications. The grant received from the Rotary Club will be combined with federal funds received by EISD through Title I to make the proposal a reality.

I want to thank President Moore and the Cedar Creek Rotary Club for their generous donation to EISD. With these funds, we will be able to secure the purchase of enough equipment to truly make a difference in the classroom. We will be providing our students with cutting edge technology that will enable them to not only access information and content, but to create their own content.

A reminder that the Bulldog baseball team will be playing the first game of a best of three series for the bi-district championship tonight against Mildred. Tonight’s game will be played in Mildred. First pitch is scheduled for 7:30.

Also, the National Honor Society will be hosting its annual banquet tonight at 7:00 PM. The banquet will honor students that have served in the NHS this year with special recognition for graduating seniors. The banquet will be held at the First Baptist Church in Eustace.
