Results from yesterday’s district cross country meet: Eustace MS Boys – 1st Place; Eustace MS Girls – 1st Place; Eustace JV Boys – 1st Place; Eustace JV Girls – 1st Place; Eustace Varsity Girls – 1st Place; and, Eustace Varsity Boys – 1st Place.
Eustace posted district championships in all divisions in the district cross country meet. The meet was held at the 4 Pines Ranch just south of Eustace. Not only did the teams do well, Eustace had the overall champion in the varsity boys division, varsity girls division, JV girls division, JV boys division, and MS boys division.
With their first place finishes, both the varsity boys and varsity girls teams qualified to compete at the regional cross country meet. The regional meet will be Saturday, November 3, at Vandergriff Park in Arlington.
While the course at 4 Pines is one of the most challenging in this region, the runners also had to contend with warm temperatures and high humidity. When these factors are taken into consideration, the results are even more impressive!
Congratulations to all of the runners for the time, training, and effort put in to make these accomplishments possible. Also, congratulations to our cross country coaches, Josh Sypert and Gene Meyers, for their hard work and dedication. Finally, a special thank you to the parents for the early hours spent getting the runners to practice and traveling to the meets. (Videos are posted on the district’s YouTube channel of the start of the varsity girls and boys races and the finishes to those races.)
A reminder that our HS volleyball teams will be playing Palmer tonight. The JV will play at 5:00 and the varsity will follow.
