Last Friday, I reported that Governor Perry had asked Education Commissioner Michael Williams to defer implementation of the rule that provided that end of course tests count 15% of a student’s final grade in a class. Commissioner Williams has indeed provided instructions to districts that the 15% rule has been deferred until the 2013-2014 school year.
