TAKS Exit Level Results

We recently received the results of the TAKS scores for our 11th grade students. This group of students will be the last to graduate under the TAKS testing system. Students in grades 10 and under will be in the STAAR testing system.

To say that our students did well would be an understatement. Below are the results of the TAKS Exit Level testing:

English/Language Arts – 99% met standard

Math – 100% met standard

Science – 100% met standard

Social Studies – 99% met standard

These scores are not possible without the work of our students, staff, and parents. Congratulations to the High School and to the Class of 2014 on these outstanding results!

HIGH SCHOOL SPORTS: Eustace senior Bramblitt honored this Sunday on WFAA

Joe ElersonThe Athens ReviewThe Athens Daily ReviewThu May 16, 2013, 06:03 AM CDT

EUSTACE — A very special honor will be given to one Eustace High School senior this weekend.

Eustace senior Casey Bramblitt will be recognized as a Dale Hansen Scholar Athlete this Sunday night at 10:20 on Dale Hansen’s Sports Special.

WFAA and Dale Hansen showcase North Texas high school seniors who have excelled in academics and athletics, as well as contribute to making their community a better place to live.

Dale has been recognizing area athletes for over 20 years.

Bramblitt said she was able to film her spot a couple of months ago and the experience was enjoyable for her.

“We got to go and talk to him before hand. He did clips and he would mess around with us,” Bramblitt said. “We did our practice round and he kept making fun of me and giving me a hard time.”

She said it took three times to get her segment right after messing up her name the first time and then Hansen made the mistake the second time.

“ … He started laughing the second time through,” Bramblitt said. “He said that I made the blooper reel now. It was embarrassing but fun at the same time.”

Bramblitt has been known for her skills in numerous sports as a state powerlifter, a regional track member, a softball pitcher, running cross country and being named all state in volleyball.

She said a big key to her success was the move she made across Cedar Creek Lake.

“It has made it so much better because I came here from Mabank and that was not my fit,” Bramblitt said. “When I moved to Eustace, I got so much stuff done and got the top award and it made me feel good. It was a huge deal and it made this year worth it.”

She thanks a fellow senior mother for recommending her for the top award among North Texas athletes.

Upon graduation from high school, Bramblitt has some big goals in mind for her career.

“I go to Sam Houston in the fall and I will be majoring in Criminal Justice,” Bramblitt said. “I will have eight years of service for the Army and then I will go as an officer. I will go four years active and four years reserves. After that time I will try to become a U.S. Marshall.”
