Volleyball Sweeps Scurry and Skyward

The Eustace High School volleyball teams all posted wins last night in their first district games of the season. The 9th grade team defeated Scurry 2-0. The JV team also won 2-0. The varsity team won in three straight games, 25-19, 25-14, and 25-9. The volleyball teams travel to Kemp on Friday for their second district game.

One of the changes for this school year will be the move to Skyward for the district’s student information services and financial software. Over the past several years, the district has been utilizing the same accounting software and receiving the student services software from a contract with our Service Center. The state has required certain changes be made in reporting requirements on the financial side of the software. The company that we have used in the past was unwilling to make the required changes. That being the case, the district was forced into considering new options for our financial software. Since we were going to have to change, it was decided that regardless of the vendor, we were going to go with the same software for our finance and student services.

The EISD Board of Trustees made it possible that the district have the opportunity to go with Skyward. Not only will this software provide integration of our financial and student services, it will also offer parents with even more information with regards to their children. Right now, we are still learning to use all of the components that Skyward has to offer. As soon as possible, we will make the parent portal available. We ask for patience at this time as we learn this new software. In the end, parents and staff will enjoy a whole new level of information available at the click of a mouse.
