Basketball, Cheerleading, and This Week

With a 49-37 win against Frankston last Friday, the varsity girls improved to 5-0 in district. Today, the Lady Bulldogs will host Malakoff. The Lady Tigers are also 5-0 in district play. The games were moved from Tuesday to Monday to accommodate the cheerleading competition that will take place on Wednesday. The JV boys will tip off at 5:00 PM today. The varsity girls will follow at approximately 6:15. The varsity boys will play after the girls game is completed.

For the first time ever, the UIL will host Spirit Championships to showcase the talents of cheerleading squads throughout the state. The 3A competition will take place this Wednesday at the College Park Center on the campus of the University of Texas at Arlington. The Eustace squad has been practicing for weeks in preparation for the UIL competition. The Bulldog Cheerleaders are scheduled to perform their Band Dance at 9:42 AM, their Sideline Cheer at 11:57 AM, and their Fight Song routine at 2:39 PM. All the teams are competing for a opportunity to qualify for the finals. Finals are scheduled to start at 4:45 on Wednesday. There will be an admission charge to enter and a parking fee. For one day, the entry fee is $18.75 and the parking fee will be $15. Good luck to the Bulldog Cheerleaders!

Throughout this week, the 2nd grade will be doing Guided Reading testing.

Wednesday – Intermediate School Skating; Spirit Competition – UT Arlington

Thursday – Intermediate School Semester Awards; MS Boys basketball at Arp – 5:00; MS Girls basketball v. Arp – 5:00; Board Meeting – HS Library – 7:00

Friday – High School boys and girls basketball at West Rusk – 5:00

Saturday – Power Lifting at Van – 9:00 AM
