Last night, EHS hosted its annual National Honor Society Banquet. In order to qualify for National Honor Society, a student must be a sophomore, junior, or senior, maintain an 85 cumulative average, and demonstrate their commitment to Service, Character, and Leadership.
Following dinner, the 2015-2016 officers each read a passage describing a requirement for membership in NHS. The officers for this year are Brittney Williams, president; Kasey Lopez, Vice President; Abra Roberts, Secretary; and, Kristina Woodruff, Treasurer. (See pictures below)

Afterwards, new members were inducted into the Honor Society and recognition was given to each member based on their grade level. Sophomores received a certificate, juniors received their patches, and seniors received their collars. In addition, Diane Chambers, NHS Sponsor, recognized outstanding members in each grade level. A special thank you to the First Baptist Church and Brother Paul McKinney for allowing the district to use their wonderful facilities. Also, a special thank you to all the parents, relatives, and friends that came out to support our students last night.
