The varsity cheerleaders completed cheer camp yesterday, winning several awards.  These young men and women did an excellent job representing our school and community and are one more reason to be “Bulldog Proud!”

Board Meeting Tonight

The Eustace ISD Board of Trustees will hold their regular monthly meeting tonight at 7:00 PM in the HS library. Prior to the regular meeting, the board will hold a workshop to discuss information from the Summer Leadership Institute. The workshop will start at 6:00 PM and be held in the HS library. Everyone is invited and encouraged to attend the workshop and the regular meeting.

In the regular meeting, the Board will hear the following reports:

  • RevTrak
  • Van Zandt County 2016 Certified Tax Value
  • Annual Financial and Compliance Report
  • STAAR 3-8 Results
  • Van Zandt County Appraisal District Budget for 2017
  • Risk Assessment Level
  • Update on 2016-2017 Budget
  • Review of Local Policies dealing with Child Abuse and Neglect
  • Review of Food Allergy Management Plan
  • Review of Plan for Addressing Child Sexual Abuse and other Maltreatment of Children

The Board will consider possible action on the following agenda items:

  • Minutes of previous meetings
  • Financial Reports
  • Proposed Tax Rate for 2016-2017
  • Collection Contract with Henderson County Tax Office
  • Options for Greenhouse
  • Resignation of Board Member Sonny Hodge
  • Policy Update 105
  • The Board will enter closed session to consider issues related to personnel and staffing and student transfers. Any action taken on a closed session item will be made in open session.

End-Of-Course Exam Retakes

As a reminder, retakes for STAAR EOC Exams will take place on the week of July 11th (the schedule is below).  As per state law, students must pass all five EOC Exams in order to graduate from high school.

Students are reminded to get a good night sleep the night before, eat a good breakfast, and plan to arrive early on the day of the test.
