Dual Credit students Attention; Scholarships

Any dual credit student who needs to miss class for STARR testing, PSAT, or for any reason, needs to be sure they communicate with their college teacher to let them know ahead of time that they will be absent. It is the students’ responsibility to let their instructor’s know, and to make arrangements for getting assignments.

September 14, 2016- The Scholarship Points Scholarship is open to students who are at least 13 years old and plan to enroll in a college or university in the US. September 20, 2016- The Siemens Scholarship is available to high school students grades 9-12, if submitting a team project. Students submitting an individual project must be seniors who will be graduating in the spring. There will be 18 $100,000 scholarships awarded. This is a math, science and technology based project scholarship. September 30, 2016- The Review It Scholarship is available to graduating seniors, with a GPA of at least a 2.5, who plan to attend a college or university beginning Sept, 2017. October 2, 2016-The UNCF/Dell Corporate Scholars Program, a collaboration of Dell and UNCF will provide scholarships up to $4,500 (based on need) + internship opportunities for selected students based on the eligibility requirements for the 2017-2018 academic year. All applicants for the UNCF/Dell Corporate Scholars Program may be considered internship opportunities at Dell. The internship is a paid 10-week 2017 summer internship based at Dell HQ in Round Rock, TX. Eligibility requirements:
* Students must possess a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
* Students must be a minority student enrolled full time at a US located accredited four year institution as a junior application and interview process.
* Students must major or have an academic focus in Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or Information Technology.
* Students must possess a demonstrated unmet financial need as verified by their institution/college (for scholarship award).
