School Cancelled Friday, February 24th

February 23, 2017

Dear Parents and Students:

School has been cancelled for tomorrow, February 24, 2017.  Please read the following message from Dr. Holcombe:

Parents and Guardians,

We are seeing another upswing in the number of absences due to illness. Right now, we have 121 absences and others waiting to go home. Currently, we have reports of flu, strep, stomach virus, and pink eye. We are going to try to get everyone away for an extra day and allow our custodial staff and our transportation staff to disinfect all the buildings and buses. I apologize for any inconvenience this extra day off  may cause, but believe it to be in the best interest of our students. This day will not have to be made-up.

Thank you for your understanding.

Coy Holcombe

Superintendent

The baseball and softball tournaments will continue as scheduled.  Athletes that are ill are asked to contact their coaches and stay home so they do not infect others.  The Spanish Club field trip scheduled for tomorrow has been postponed to a later date.

Thank you for sending your child to Eustace High School!
