Parent/Student Night for TVCC Dual Credit Students

Parents and students who plan to take dual credit classes through TVCC this Summer or in the Fall of the 2017-2018 school year are invited to attend a meeting at Eustace High School on Thursday, May 4, 2017, at 6 pm in the EHS auditorium. Kelley Townsend, Dual Credit Director at TVCC, will be on hand to present information on the dual credit program, as well as answer any questions. Parents and students are strongly encouraged to attend, as this is an opportunity to receive pertinent information to make your child’s college educational experience successful.

New Student Report Cards from TEA

Each year, the Texas Education Agency(TEA) provides a report card on how students have performed on the STAAR exams. These report cards contain a wealth of information for parents and teachers to use in determining how students are doing on grade level materials. However, some parts of the report cards were confusing and difficult to understand.

TEA has redesigned the look of the student report cards. These new report cards will be issued this summer. TEA has produced a video that describes the changes and other features of the new report card. Below is a link to that video. I encourage all parents and guardians to take a few minutes and review this video.
