I want to extend a special thank you to Brother Paul McKinney and the Eustace First Baptist Church for allowing us to utilize their great facilities for our athletic banquet, our National Honor Society Banquet, our senior breakfast, and for hosting the Baccalaureate service. Brother Paul and the Baptist Church allow the district to use their facilities at no cost to the district.

Tonight, the Baccalaureate Services will be held at Eustace First Baptist Church starting at 7:00 PM. There will be a reception for the students after the services.

This Week

First, an update on how things are going at the school. We have plenty of bottled water for students and staff. I just received a call from the mayor and the boil water notification has been lifted.

Also, I want to thank Brother Paul and the First Baptist Church for allowing the immense amount of donations to be stored in their gym area. If anyone has any needs (food, clothing, water, etc.) please go by the Baptist Church.

I want to also thank all the people that have donated supplies and that have helped with dealing with those supplies. People literally came from all over the state to help.

Finally, a thank you to all the people that have helped with those homes that were impacted by the storms. I know that there were dozens of people helping those families.

The National Honor Society Banquet that was scheduled for tonight has been postponed.

This is Teacher Appreciation Week.

Throughout this week the Primary School will be conducting end of year Guided Reading assessments. Also, end of course tests at the High School and Middle School will be taken this week.

There will be playoff baseball games this Friday and Saturday against Scurry. Friday’s game will be in Scurry and start at 6:00. Saturday’s games will be played in Eustace. Game 2 will start at 1:00. If necessary, game 3 will start after the conclusion of game 2.
