Getting Things Wrapped Up

As hard as it is to believe, we have 3 days left in the 2016-2017 school year. I would like to review some of the events that we have already held and some that will take place in the next four days.

First, a huge thank you to the Eustace Athletic Booster Club for an awesome athletic banquet! I want to take this opportunity to recognize the Booster Club Officers that worked tirelessly to make this banquet a huge success!

Congratulations to Tiffany Miley on hosting a great National Honor Society Banquet. Pictures of the event may be found on the district’s Twitter account @EustaceISD

Mady Bragg, a sophomore at Eustace High School, won the silver medal at the UIL State Academic Meet in Lincoln/Douglas Debate. We are looking forward to seeing what Mady can accomplish the next two years!

I want to extend a special thank you to Brother Paul McKinney and the Eustace First Baptist Church for allowing us to utilize their great facilities for our athletic banquet, our National Honor Society Banquet, our senior breakfast, and for hosting the Baccalaureate service. Brother Paul and the Baptist Church allow the district to use their facilities at no cost to the district.

Tonight, the Baccalaureate Services will be held at Eustace First Baptist Church starting at 7:00 PM. There will be a reception for the students after the services.

Tomorrow, the Intermediate School will have their Awards Day. Tomorrow is also an early out day.

Friday is the end of the 6th 6 weeks and the final day of the 2016-2017 school year. The Intermediate School will host their Big Prize Giveaway and the championship of Money-aire. Friday is also an early release day.

Saturday, Eustace ISD will host the 2017 Graduation Ceremony in the E. L. Kirk Gym. Doors will open to the public at 9:00 AM. The ceremony will start at 10:00 AM. There will be seating available on the floor; however, this year, no one sitting on the floor will be allowed to leave until after the ceremony is complete. If you need to leave early, please sit in the stadium seating.

May 30 and 31 will be Staff Workdays.

Summer School will start on Monday, June 5. That is also the start of the Summer Feeding Program.

I hope everyone has a great end-of-school week!
