Three Eustace Middle School 7th grade students were recognized by the VFW for their essays for the VFW Patriot’s Pen Scholarship Competition Post 4326. Gabrielle Baez placed 1st in the competition, Lillian Hagood placed 2nd, and Mia Morrison placed 3rd. Gabrielle was awarded a $300 scholarship check, Lillian was awarded $200, and Mia was awarded $100. Cassie Munden, our 7th grade writing teacher, was named Teacher of the Year by VFW Post 4326. Ms. Munden was awarded $500. Congratulations to these students and teacher for their awards!

I hope everyone had a great Christmas break! Today starts the fourth six weeks and the second semester for all campuses. There are 91 total days in the second semester. The 4th six weeks has 32 days, the fifth six weeks has 29 days, and the 6th six weeks has 30 days. With all the activities and events that occur during the spring semester, the 91 days will pass quickly.
