TVCC Dual Credit Scholarships

TVCC is offering a Dual Pathway Scholarship to sophomore and junior students who plan to take dual credit classes in the fall. As Eustace ISD pays for all tuition and books for dual credit students during the regular school year, we would like all potential dual credit students to apply. Fall TVCC students were called to a meeting on March 29 to fill out the form, but an essay  and letters of recommendation are also required. See the attached form for specific instructions. The essays and letters of recommendation need to be turned in to the counselor’s office by APRIL 10, so that they can be sent to TVCC by their April 15 deadline.  April 15 is a Saturday, and April 14 is Good Friday, which is a holiday for Eustace ISD.

If your student missed the meeting, please have them come by my office to get a copy of the form.

Spring Break

Next week is spring break. There will be no school March 6 – 10. Classes will resume at regular times on Monday, March 13. While there will be no classes next week, there will still be baseball and softball games. Our softball team plays district games at Edgewood on Tuesday and is home against Grand Saline on Friday. Both games are set to start at 4:30.

Baseball does not have a game scheduled for Tuesday, but will be in the Wills Point Baseball Tournament Thursday – Saturday.

The district one act play contest is Saturday, March 11 in Winona.

We want to congratulate Naveah Sanchez, an 8th grader at the Middle School, on winning the County Spelling Bee. We also want to wish Naveah good luck as she competes in the Regional Spelling Bee tomorrow in Dallas. The spelling bee will be broadcast on WFAA at 4:00.

If I have counted correctly, when we come back from spring break, we will have 54 school days left in the 2016-2017 school year. There will be more events and activities in those 54 days then in any other 54 days in the school year. We will try to keep everyone informed about events and activities.

I hope everyone has a safe and enjoyable spring break!
