Eustace ISD has been invited to participate in the Support our Schools Rally to be held at Bruce Field in Athens. The rally will be Thursday, March 31 and is scheduled to start at 6:00. The rally will bring together schools from across our region to show support for making education a priority. Everyone is invited to attend.
Students will be active participants in the program. Students in grades 3 – 5 may participate in the singing of America the Beautiful and students in grades 6 -12 may participate in a march around the stadium. Our varsity cheerleaders were invited to participate, but most of them will be at a track meet in Kemp on Thursday. So, we have invited all EASA cheerleaders to participate in the event.
In addition to the public schools, TVCC will be participating in the rally. Speakers at the rally include the president of TVCC, Dr. Glendon Forgey; Bobby Rigues, a school board member from Aledo, Texas, and founder of Make Education a Priority; Joe Smith, school finance expert; and Dr. Michael French, superintendent of Quinlan ISD.
I encourage everyone to make plans to attend this rally. I also encourage everyone to wear school colors. I would love to see more purple and gold in the stands than any other colors!! If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
