We have a lot of topics to cover this morning. First, congratulations to the varsity baseball team on their bi-district championship win over Teague!! In a game that went into extra innings, the Bulldogs won in the bottom of the 9th, 2-1. As soon as we have information on the next playoff game, it will be posted here. We know that we will be playing Clifton.
The annual EISD Employee Banquet was held last night at the First Baptist Church in Eustace. Along with great food and lots of door prizes, employees were honored for their years of service. Employees receiving 5 year service pins included:
Employees receiving 10 year pins:
Karen Thompson received a 15 year service pin.
Beth Costlow received a 20 year service pin.
Brenda Powell and Robert Reeve received 25 year service pins.
Diane Chambers received a 30 year service pin.
In addition, the following employees, who are retiring at the end of this school year, received a wooden bell award with their name and years of service:
Judith Wakefield – Intermediate Aide – 7 years
Martha Ray – Athletic Secretary – 17 years
Jodi Horton – Food Service – 31 years
The annual School Bell Award was also presented at the banquet. This award goes to a community member for outstanding volunteer work with the school district. This years recipients were Burton and Martel Love. Mr. and Mrs. Love have provided three sessions of the Love and Logic parenting classes at the Primary and are currently providing Love and Logic teacher classes at the Primary. Mr. and Mrs. Love have donated their time in providing these classes for our parents and teachers. Eustace ISD is very grateful for all their hard work and dedication!
A special thank you goes to Faye Barnett and Mary Bell for all their hard work in making the Employee Banquet a huge success!! Faye and Mary take care of all the decorating and all of the door prizes. Thank you, ladies!!
