Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team on their win against Faith Family on Friday. The Lady Bulldogs swept the match 3-0! The next volleyball game will be against Red Oak Life on Tuesday. The games will be played in Eustace.
Also, congratulations to the Bulldogs on their hard fought victory against Rice on Friday. The temperature at kickoff was 99. By the end of the game, it had only cooled to 90. Needless to say, these conditions made it challenging for both teams. The Bulldogs did the things that they needed to do in the 4th quarter to win this game. The Bulldogs will host Rusk this coming Friday.
The band and the cheerleaders also had to contend with the temperatures Friday night. Both groups did a great job!
The Primary will be hosting a book fair all week in the Primary library.
Monday – MS volleyball v. Kemp – 4:30; Band practice – 6:30
Tuesday – HS VB v. Red Oak Life – 5:00
Wednesday – Primary Parent Camp
Thursday – MS Football v. Rusk – 5:00; JV FB at Rusk
Friday – Cross country at Van; HS volleyball at Malakoff – 4:30; Varsity football v. Rusk – 7:30
I hope everyone has a great week!
Congratulations to the JV football team on their 44-0 win against Rice last night!
Tonight, the Lady Bulldogs travel to Faith Family for a district volleyball match. The varsity will be the only team playing tonight. The game will start at 4:30.
The varsity football team will be on the road at Rice. Kickoff is set for 7:30. In addition, the cheerleaders will be performing and the Mighty Bulldog Marching Band will be entertaining with music and marching.
Saturday, the cross country teams will be running at Tyler Lee.
Yesterday, the enrollment in the district topped 1,450 for the first time this year.
We receive word from TEA that Texas will be applying for a waiver from certain requirements of No Child Left Behind. Part of this waiver deals with Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP). If approved at the federal level, this waiver would provide relief from the AYP requirements that are contained within NCLB. This is a situation that we will follow closely in the coming weeks. Updates will be provided when available.
I hope everyone has a great weekend!
Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team on their win against Hampton Prep last night. The Lady Bulldogs won 3-0.
