We have lots of great things going on throughout the district! Let’s start at the Primary, where they have been participating in the Jump Rope for Heart fund raising program for over a week. If you have been following our Twitter account, you have seen the prize winners from each day. You also got to see a special visitor from Jump Rope for Heart – Super Pup! A special thank you to Tammy Gaddis for coordinating the fund raiser and for sending me a picture of the prize winners each day. Stay tuned to our Twitter account for more information…
We had a very special homecoming this past Friday in the E. L. Kirk Gym. Members of the last girls basketball team that made the playoffs returned to celebrate the Lady Bulldogs returning to the playoffs for the first time in 46 years! We had several members of the 1969 district championship team at the game Friday. We appreciate all of these special ladies taking the time to come out to support today’s Lady Bulldogs! Below is a picture of the ladies. There will also be a video of their introduction posted on the district’s YouTube channel. More information on playoff opponents and playoff sites will be announced as it becomes available.
Friday was also the last home game for the girls. That means it was the last home basketball game ever for our seniors. The seniors were recognized before the game and were also treated to cake and punch (supplied by the parents) after the game. Below are the 2016 Lady Bulldog Senior Basketball Players and Managers. There will also be a video of the Senior Night Ceremonies posted on the district’s YouTube page.
