March 16, 2017– The Pinnacle Women’s Club is offering a $1,500 scholarship to graduating seniors who have a GPA of at least a 3.5. Applications are available in the counselor’s office, and are attached above.
Parents of TVCC Dual Credit students-There will be a meeting on Monday, December 12 at 6 pm in the Eustace High School Auditorium for parents and their students who are taking dual credit classes in the spring. Letters have been sent home with the dual credit students, and it is attached above.
Congratulations to Olivia Dailey on placing first at the Area FFA Senior Creed Speaking Contest! Olivia now heads to the state competition this Friday and Saturday! On behalf of EISD, we wish Olivia a safe trip and good luck at the state competition.

A senior meeting was held on Thursday, November 3, and the following items were discussed:
Students were reminded to complete the FAFSA at www.fafsa.ed.gov. The application opened on October 1 this year, and this document is necessary to be eligible for any grants or financial aid for college. There are varying deadlines for colleges and universities, so students need to get this taken care of ASAP.
I am using the Reminder app to make communication with seniors easier. Directions on how to join the Seniors 2017 class on the app were handed out, and seniors are encouraged to join. Texts coming from (717) 208-8824 are messages from me, so do not delete these without reading them.

A limited number of Compendiums are available, and I have a copy that I will loan out. The Compendium contains college information as well as scholarship information.
Senior T-Shirts- Mrs. Moultin asked that seniors come up with a design by November 7.
March 1, 2017– The Henderson County Retired School Personnel Association is offering a $500 scholarship to graduating seniors who plan to attend a college or university to pursue a degree that leads to a teaching certificate. Students must provide a current transcript, three references( two of them from teachers and one personal ), a description of school/community activities, a one page essay on “The Importance of Learning My Role as a Teacher”, and a copy of college acceptance letter, if available. Applications are available in the counselor’s office.
March 31, 2017– The EHS Aggie Spirit Scholarship is a one-time, competitive scholarship designed to encourage EHS graduates to continue pursuing a world class education by attending Texas A&M University and joining the Aggie Family. To be eligible, applicants must:
Graduate from Eustace High School, having attended at least their junior and senior year
Have been accepted to Texas A&M and plan to enroll as a full-time student
Consideration will be given to current acceptance status at A&M, financial need, extracurricular activities, good standing at EHS with faculty and staff, outstanding academic performance, leadership attributes and other superlatives. Applications are available in the counselor’s office.
Eustace High School will hold a meeting for parents and students who plan to register for dual credit classes for the Spring, 2017 semester. Kelley Townsend, the Director of Dual Credit at TVCC, will be here to give information regarding the dual credit program. The high counselors will also be on hand to provide information regarding district policies as well. You are strongly encouraged to attend this meeting, as it will be in the best interest of you and your student. The meeting is set for Monday, December 12 at 6pm in the high school auditorium.
For the fourth year in a row, Eustace High School has a state champion! Chanda Westbrook won the Division 3A Girls State Cross Country Championship with a time of 11:23! The win marks the first time that a Eustace athlete has won the state cross country championship! Congratulations to Chanda for this outstanding achievement!! The girls cross country team won the Silver Medal at the state cross country meet! Over the last four years, the Lady Bulldogs have won two state titles and have placed second in state twice! Congratulations to Chanda Westbrook, Shelby White, Kara Henson, Skye Burns, Macy Penix, Reese Thorn, and Sabrina Davis on an outstanding performance at the state meet!
The boys cross country team finished in third place at the state meet! This marks the fifth year in a row that the Bulldogs have been on the medal stage! Congratulations to Ericson Gudjohnsen, Zane Arambula, Andrew Page, Dalton Page, Nick Westbrook, Michael Wong, Micah Zimmerer
I want to congratulate all the runners for a great cross country season! Special thanks to our High School cross country coaches Josh Sypert and Kenneth Henderson. Also, a special thank you to all the parents for their support and for all the early mornings that go along with cross country.

The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs are on their way to the 2016 State Cross Country Meet. The meet is tomorrow and will be held in Round Rock at the Old Settlers Park. The girls will run at 2:40 and the boys will run at 3:10.
On Tuesday, Eustace 2nd graders held a mock presidential election. The election was organized by Susanne Pharmakis. The 2nd grade GT students were in charge of running the election. Below is a gallery of photos shared by Mrs. Pharmakis:
Registration for Spring 2017 dual credit classes for all students who are currently enrolled in classes, and for juniors and seniors who have recently passed the TSI and want to enroll in a one semester class is now underway. Students will need to see me to obtain a concurrent form, and any student who is brand new to dual credit must also complete a TVCC application. Students who want to take an online class or a class on the TVCC campus must also be current on the bacterial meningitis vaccination. I will take registration information until December 16. After that date, students will need to take their registration information directly to TVCC and the last day for registration there is January 11. Classes begin January 17.
This past Friday night ended the 2016 football season. The Bulldogs fell in their last game of the year to West. A couple of pictures from last Friday are included below:
