Welcome Back and This Week

I hope everyone had a great spring break! There are 48 school days left in the 2018-2019 school year! With all the activities and events that take place in the spring, those 48 days will go by fast!

Our Bulldog family lost a friend and colleague over the break. Melissa Smith, 4th grade teacher at the Intermediate passed away this past week. Melissa was with the district for many years. She served at the Middle School and High School. Melissa was responsible for touching the lives of many students and staff members. She will be missed.

Spring Break and This Week

I hope everyone had a great weekend! Last Friday, I sent an email to our parents and guardians about the possibility of changing our early out day this Friday to a full school holiday. Many of our parents and guardians responded to the email . The overwhelming majority were in favor of changing from an early out day to a full holiday. I have also talked with all the campus principals about the impact that the change would have at their campus. All the principals agreed that there would not be any issues with changing Friday to a holiday. So, we are officially changing Friday, March 8, to a full day holiday. Thursday, March 7, will be a regular school day. It will not be an early out day.

Last Friday, I was looking at some of the student work that was displayed in the hallways. Below are just a few samples of all the great work that was displayed:

This Wednesday, March 6, the Eustace Bulldog High School Band will be competing in the UIL Concert and Sight Reading Contest in Canton. The Bulldog Band performs their concert portion of the contest at 9:00 AM. Everyone is invited to attend. There is no admission charge.
