Area Band, Regional Cross Country, and Volleyball Senior Night

For the first time in school history, the Mighty Eustace Bulldog Marching Band advanced to the finals at the UIL Area Marching Contest. The Bulldog Band had its first performance at 3:15 in Denton. Congratulations to our band members, our band directors, Todd Felty, Crystal Heidle, and Sam Litton, and to all the family and friends that have supported them throughout this marching season.

This Monday, the Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs cross country teams headed to Huntsville for the Regional Cross Country Meet. The girls race started at 9:25 and the boys ran at 9:55. Overall, the girls placed 5th at the Regional Met and the boys were the Regional Champs! The boys had three runners place in the top ten finiThe boys cross country team has qualified to run at the State Cross Country Meet in Round Rock on November 9. Last night, the volleyball team had their Senior Night activities. I want to thank all the seniors that are involved in our volleyball program for all the hard work and dedication you have put in these last four years! Below are some pictures from that:

This Week

Congratulations to the Lady Bulldogs on their 3-0 district win against Kemp last Friday. The Lady Bulldogs have an important game at Malakoff on Tuesday. The varsity game should start around 6:00 PM.

This is Red Ribbon Week for all the campuses. There will be various activities throughout the week.

The Mighty Bulldog Marching Band will be competing in the Area Marching Contest this Saturday in Denton. The Bulldog Band will march at 3:15. The contest will be held at the Collins Athletic Complex. Entry fee will be $3 for adults and $3 for students.

Construction Update

The concrete for the front parking lot was poured last Friday. Weather permitting, site work will continue this week.

Bulldog Band Advancing to Area Contest

Yesterday, the Mighty Eustace Bulldog Marching Band earned ones from all three judges at the UIL Marching Contest in Mesquite! The Bulldog Band has earned the right to compete at the Area Marching Contest in Denton on October 26. Congratulations to all the band members and to our band directors, Todd Felty, Crystal Heidle, and Sam Litton. A special thank you to the Band Boosters, the parents, other relatives, and friends for all their support this marching season.

The Eustace Cross Country Teams competed in the DISTRICT Meet yesterday, October 14, 2019 in Malakoff, TX.

The meet started with the Varsity Girls and was a very close race. The Varsity Girls pulled off the win in dramatic fashion only winning by 9 points to Mildred. The Team had 38 points to Mildred’s 47 points. The girls were led by Senior Krislynn Westbrook who placed 5th overall and ran a 13:42, next was Freshman Paige Row in 6th who ran a 13:56, and Sophomore Brookelyn Patterson placed 7th and ran a 13:59, then Senior Macy Penix placed 9th who ran a 14:06, Sophomore Madisen Kulsa placed 12th and ran a 14:09, Junior Jeanne Pickett placed 17th and ran a 14:39, and Senior Elexis Porte placed 19th and ran a 14:52.

The next race was the Varsity Boys. One could say the boys pulled off the win in dramatic fashion as well! The varsity boys were meet champions with a perfect score, meaning our top 7 boys finished in the top 7 places. The overall boys Champion was senior Dalton Page who ran a 16:06, next was Senior Jaden Lopez who placed 2nd and ran a 16:44, then Sophomore Trenton Porte who placed 3rd and ran a 16:54, Senior Colby Carpenter placed 4th and ran a 17:03, Senior Collin Sutton placed 5th and ran a 17:07, Senior John Saine placed 6th and ran a 17:20, and Junior Nate Holland placed 7th and ran a 17:43.

The JV Girls were meet champions with 4 girls in the top 4 places, They were led by Freshman Morgan Buccafurno who ran a 14:46, next was Sophomore Brooklyn Moore who placed 2nd who ran a 15:10, Junior Tabitha Rigby placed 3rd and ran a 15:30, and Sophomore Iciar Aragon placed 4th and ran a 15:38 and in 6th, Junior Melissa Millan ran a 16:23.

The JV boys had a long line of purple finishing 13 boys in the top 13 places. There is no such thing as something better than a perfect score, but if there was, this would be it! These boys were led by individual Champ Sophomore Jake Haney who ran a 17:48, closely behind was Senior Fransisco Gomez who placed 2nd and ran a 17:49, next was Sophomore Cooper Reeve who placed 3rd and also ran sub-18 with a time of 17:59, Sophomore Caleb Gonzalez who placed 4th, Junior Danny Stout placed 5th, Junior Joseph Hunter placed 6th, Junior Jackson Byrum placed 7th, Freshman Jaden Stout placed 8th, Sophomore Jimmie Skeeters placed 9th, Sophomore Owen Stahl placed 10th, Junior Cade Adair placed 11th, Junior Cory Smith placed 12th, and Sophomore Scottie Neeper placed 13th.

 

 

District Cross Country Results

The Bulldogs and Lady Bulldogs completely dominated at the district cross country meet! Both the varsity and JV Lady Bulldogs won district championships. Both groups really ran well as a team. The varsity girls held off a strong team from Mildred to capture first place.

The JV and varsity boys teams dominated their races from start to finish. For the second year in a row, the varsity boys finished 1st – 7th place for a perfect score!

The varsity boys and girls both qualified to compete at the Regional Meet in Huntsville on Monday, October 28.  The girls race will start at 9:25. The boys race will start at 9:55. The girls awards ceremony will be at 10:45. The boys will follow immediately after the girls.

District Cross Country, Volleyball, Band, and This Week

We had some special help at our football game Friday. The young ladies that participated in the Cheer Camp got to help out our varsity cheerleaders!

These young ladies did a great job at the game on Friday!

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team on their 3-1 win against Mildred last Friday. The win sets up an important game for the Lady Bulldogs against Mildred this Tuesday.

The district cross country race is today at Malakoff. The varsity girls will run at 1:30 followed by the varsity boys. The JV races and middle school races will follow.

This Wednesday the Mighty Bulldog Marching Band competes in the UIL Marching Contest in Mesquite. The contest will be held at Memorial Stadium. The Bulldog Band will march at 4:45.

Volleyball Results, Cross Country Results and This Week

Congratulations to the varsity volleyball team on their 3-0 win against Malakoff on Friday! The Lady Bulldogs are back in action today against Rice. Games are set to start at 4:30 in the Kirk Gym.

The Eustace Cross Country teams participated in the Annual Van Invitational Meet held at Twin Oaks Ranch there in Van, TX

The Varsity Girls placed 5th out of the 11 teams there. The girls finished well, running as a team with only 30 seconds separating the #1 runner to the #5 runner. The girls were led by Page Row, Madisen Kulsa, and Brookelyn Patterson.

The Varsity Boys were meet champions; placing 1st out of the 10 teams there. The boys were led by overall meet champion senior Jaden Lopez and in 2nd overall Senior Dalton Page and all 6 team members received medals for being in the top 15 places.

The JV girls placed 2nd overall in the team standings and were led by Sophomore Spaniard Iciar Aragon who placed 3rd overall. And also medaling was sophomore Brooklyn Moore.

The JV boys were meet champions; with several runners earning medals placing in the top 15. The boys had 7 runners in the top 8 places. They were led by overall meet champion Caleb Gonzales, in 2nd was Francisco Gomez, and in 3rd was Joseph Hunter.
